The 3rd meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Joint Commission on Tourism was held.

The third meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Joint Commission on Tourism, held on December 21 in Istanbul, addressed key topics such as priority cooperation in tourism, the current state of bilateral tourism relations, tourism training, business development, investments in tourism infrastructure, cultural heritage protection, marketing, communication, and tourism products. Additionally, discussions were held on developing a Joint Action Program for the next period. 

Discussions were held on the current state of tourism relations, and statistical data on inbound and outbound tourism were presented. Additionally, updates were provided on the progress of the action plan adopted during the second meeting. 

An exchange of experiences took place regarding the implementation of various projects, including human resource development in the tourism sector, the creation of tourism and recreation zones, infrastructure development, and joint presentations on international platforms.

The exchange of experience was held upon the implementation of such projects as development of human resources in the tourism sector, creation of tourism and recreation zones and infrastructure and joint presentations at international platforms and other topics were discussed within the framework of the meeting. 

Furthermore, discussions covered the management of cultural heritage sites, the establishment of partnerships between similar heritage sites, and the initiation of joint projects. 

As part of the event, a meeting was held between the Association of Tourism Agencies of Azerbaijan (ATAA) and the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB). 

At the conclusion of the meeting, the implementation of the 2023 Joint Action Plan was assessed, and a new Joint Action Plan for 2024 was developed. Additionally, a protocol outlining the meeting's outcomes was signed between the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey.
